Didymus - Ringwood Unitarians

Didymus - Ringwood Unitarians We recognise the oneness of the divine principle in the flow of life, all wisdoms that point towards it, and we respond to the central call to love.

We find our Unitarian practice helps us recuperate, and move towards peace for ourselves and others. We are an open, not-for-profit society aligned to the General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches in UK. The heart of what is important to us are oneness, prayer, love, presence, opening the mind, and justice. It's these words that we try to use and live. We inherit a tradition of a c

ollection of people, a collection of religious seekers, trying to work out what's really important in religion, laying aside one thing after the other: creeds, dogmatic ways of reading the Bible, imposed doctrine, to get to something that's beneath all of those things. We are a community of people, whose 18th century roots were in the more well-known churches. Today we take our inspiration largely from the Christian Bible that we inherit as well as from other world faiths' writings, and we work across boundaries with people of all faiths as well as agnostics, atheists and humanists. What we have in common is that we enjoy a community aspect to our spirituality, we enjoy enriching our view by hearing others' perspectives, we accept that other beliefs and philosophies can be the grit in our oyster. We tell no one what they should think or believe - all that matters to us is that people's beliefs bring them along to meet in community and to respect the other views they find there.
