I loved these wonderful flower arrangements. Thank you to everyone involved for making St Mary's so beautiful for our Easter celebrations.

"Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. " (Matthew 6: 28)

Lilies are traditional for Easter because their white colour symbolises the purity and divinity of Jesus Christ, while their spring flowering represents resurrection, rebirth and hope.

Children of all ages enjoyed the Easter tomb biscuits this morning after our moving service.

Moving as in moving around the church.
Moving as in hearing from the people who encountered Jesus in the days before his death on the Cross.
Joyful in that we also get to celebrate the joy of Easter too.

See you at 10am on Sunday for a full on celebration of the Resurrection.

Our Good Friday morning session is open to all ages as we explore the meaning of Easter through stories of those who were with Jesus right up to his death on the cross..

We move around the church together, we listen and sing. We'll make some things and enjoy time together.

Come and see!

The large crowd that had come for the feast learned that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem; They took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet him and shouted: Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! John 12, 12

The beginning of Holy Week.

On Sunday at 10am, we will be exploring the Fruits of the Spirit with Revd David. During this time of Lent, we'll think how we can be MORE of these things.

Lent isn't always about giving up chocolate or alcohol!

It's a fun time together in church, music, discussion, activities and craft. All followed by biscuits, or maybe even cake...!

Come along.
