A montage of finger-painted houses, prepared by today’s Messy Church congregation, were added to a back-scene, transforming it from a place called “Nowhere” (and by changing those letters around) to one named “New Hero”.
This helped to illustrate Sunday’s thoughts about how Bethlehem, a one-time very small and insignificant town, as described in Micah, would become the birthplace of Jesus as the prophet had also written.
Plenty of mess to please those who like that but also plenty for us all to rejoice about as we journey through this Advent-season.
