Last Thursday 4th June, the Church celebrated Corpus Christi, a feast whose name means “The Body of Christ.”
At the Last Supper, Jesus took bread and wine and said, “This is my body… this is my blood,” offering not only words to remember, but a living promise of His presence, love, and sacrifice.
In every celebration of the Eucharist, Christians throughout the world gather around the same table. Rich and poor, young and old, certain and questioning — all are invited to receive the grace of God. Communion reminds us that faith is not only something we simply 'do', but something we receive, share, and live out together.
Corpus Christi also challenges us to consider what it means to be the Body of Christ in the world today. If we receive Christ’s love at the altar, we are also called to carry that love beyond the church walls — through compassion, forgiveness, generosity, and care for others.
At a time when so many people feel disconnected or weary, this feast reminds us that God does not remain distant. In Jesus, God comes close. He feeds us spiritually, walks with us in our struggles, and invites us into deeper communion with Him and with one another.
Join us at one of our services across the Ministry Area this Sunday and experience the peace of Christ for yourself.
