We had a great day last Saturday, with The Way Family Church in Peterborough. Over 30 members wanted to learn how to disciple a new believer, one-to-one. As the Lord brings many people to Christ in these last days, we need to walk with them and help them on their journey.

We have had a wonderful year, especially of blessing churches and individuals around the world. Acts 4:12.

A recent testimony to encourage you:
Tope gave a “Good News for Everyone” Bible as a gift to a hotel staff member in Cardiff. Her face immediately lit up as she poured her heart out about her struggles which included temptations; an inability to pray; and attend church due to working every Sunday; plus, multiple health issues. Both Tim & Tope prayed for this lady who then recommitted her life to Jesus; received healing and baptism of the Holy Spirit. She then went to the church in Wales we recommended that Sunday (her first Sunday off in a long time); then she shared her faith with her family and colleagues. She has become an ambassador for Jesus in the Hotel. Glory to God. 😊

The main issue we have in our Churches today is that there are too many converts, and not enough disciples!

This is why ETS were asked to fly to Durban in South Africa to equip “Jesus House Ministries” on discipleship last week. Over 40 of their team wanted to learn how to disciple a new believer or someone who needs to grow in their faith. This church was eager to learn and put into practice being a discipleship maker, bearing in mind the time and dedication it takes to come alongside a new believer.

This often takes at least 6 months or a year, before the new believer really understands what it means to be a disciple of Jesus and because of this, they too can become a disciple-maker. That is the whole point of the Great Commission; Jesus said “Go and make disciples of all Nations” (not converts). Jesus spent over 3 years discipling His team, so that when He gave His life for us, He left a deposit with the men He trained, not only to spread the “Good News” but to live as disciples in our daily lives, so that we can make an impact on the people we meet, and see signs, wonders and miracles, which are some the hallmark of a disciple of Jesus Christ – the greatest is love for one another!

ETS ARE LOOKING FOR MATURE CHRISTIANS WHO WANT TO BECOME DISCIPLESHIP LEADERS

Most mature Christians have studied God`s word, listened to hundreds of sermons, but have never been able to release their knowledge and understanding of the Christian faith to a new believer.

Therefore, if you are a mature believer, have a good understanding of basic scripture, and want to help a new believer, or someone, who wants to grow in their faith, then you are an idea candidate for become a Discipleship Leader with ETS.

We will provide an initial one-to-one Zoom training along with a 12-month period of discipleship training, using our manuals and will support you throughout the year, when you start to engage with your first brother or sister in Christ. Once you have completed the first year in discipleship, we will provide you with an ETS Discipleship Leaders Certificate.

Many Churches need people to step up and become discipleship leaders, so that the Body of the Church can grow, mature to have real disciples, as Jesus said: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”

Notice Jesus did not say anything about making converts!

Please pray for the young men and women we are discipling and overseeing their spiritual growth through our network of disciple-makers, after they chose to accept Jesus as their Lord. Pray they will get rooted in Christ - The IMMOVABLE ROCK - their CORNERSTONE! Amen 🙏

Both Tope and I had a great time at the “Good News for Everyone” conference last weekend in Coventry, where we had the privilege of anchoring the Saturday morning sessions. There were some amazing stories of how people have come to Christ, just by receiving a Bible. Our main speaker was Gavin Calver (Head of Evangelical Alliance) who is an awesome orator, making us laugh, but also encouraging and equipping us for the challenges ahead, of sharing our faith in a hostile world.
