At our August Bereavement Cafe and Remembrance Service we were honoured to have Chris Bloore, MP for Redditch & the Villages, join us along with Monica Stringfellow , Councillor for Church Hill. It was humbling to have two community conscious people support our Bereavement Mission. Chris is currently lobbying Parliament for better services for bereaved people, things need to be improved to help those people as they navigate the minefield of grief as it’s a journey you travel better with support.

Today, on National Day for Victims and Survivors of Terrorism, we remember those who have lost their lives and the families and communities still grieving.

When tragedy affects a community, people can experience grief in many different ways.

We have provided practical guidance on our website for communities responding to traumatic grief, including ways to support one another in the immediate aftermath, and beyond.

A beautiful afternoon spent today with some amazing people! We had the Summer Remembrance Service at 12, followed by the Bereavement Cafe.

We were privileged to have 7 short readings from beautiful people who have been on the Bereavement Journey Course and/or attend the Bereavement Cafe, you all should be extremely proud of yourselves! It was emotional, peaceful and reflective.

We were joined today by Chris Bloore (MP for Redditch & the Villages) and Monica Stringfellow (Councillor for Church Hill), who both are supportive in our Bereavement Mission.

Thank you everyone for making today very special and memorable. God bless.

BEREAVEMENT CAFE & SUMMER REMEMBRANCE SERVICE

We are all looking forward to your attendance at the Bereavement Cafe on Wednesday 19th August at 12pm, where Chris Bloore (MP for Redditch and the Villages) will be joining us.

There has been a slight change of plan for the day as we will be holding the Summer Remembrance Service at 12pm followed straight afterwards by the Bereavement Cafe (which will be a self serve afternoon tea with delicious homemade cakes!).

The theme of the service is Eternal Love and there will be an opportunity during the service to light a candle and lay a personalised brick on the Wall of Remembrance in memory of your loved one.

Please arrive at 11.45am to give you time to personalise your brick.
