EXCITING NEWS!
Introducing our new Community Mission - A warm welcome to Jana Harvey!

We are delighted to announce that Jana Harvey is joining the Redditch Mission Area team in June as our new Community Missioner.

Jana will be spending part of her time serving with Christ Church Matchborough and the remainder working across the Redditch Mission Area, helping to build relationships, strengthen community connections, and support our shared mission across the town.

We are excited to welcome Jana to the team and look forward to seeing how this new role develops in the months ahead.

Jana says:
"I’m really excited to be joining the Redditch Mission Area team at such an important time. I’m passionate about building strong relationships across the community and making sure people from all backgrounds can experience belonging, support and hope, and feel that they are listened to and valued."

Please do join us in giving Jana a very warm welcome as she begins this new chapter of ministry with us. We look forward to partnering with her as together we seek to serve our communities and share the hope of Christ across Redditch.

Families@4 is a new worshipping community at St Peter’s Church in Ipsley, Redditch. Throughout 2026, they decided to theme their programme around nature, the environment and learning about God’s creation and have created a community garden in which the children and their families are growing vegetables and flowers.

The Families@4 group meets at 4pm on the first Sunday of the month with a core of around 10 – 12 children attending. The session starts with songs, there is a bible study, which is sometimes acted out by the children, and interactive prayers as well as a craft suitable for all ages.

Assistant Curate, Linda Nicholas, said: “It started as something to invite our baptism families to and we’ve found that they’ve stayed, which is brilliant. In the past, we’ve done a different theme each month, but we wanted to create something which they could own and came up with the idea of a garden which fit with a year of focussing on caring for God’s creation.”
