Lovely walk in the shade of the trees today. Thank you to everyone who joined us and my two beautiful assistants Barry and Maureen who helped keep us all safe.

This is what we did along the way - and some of what our Treasure Bags created.

Oh, and a real bonus we saw a whole family of Shrews! Rev SJ

🌳 Family Walk and Activities - TODAY! 🌳

We’re meeting at St Philip’s Church this morning at 11am and the weather is being very kind to us. Sunny spells and around 23 degrees, with just enough breeze to keep it comfortable.

Do bring lunch, as we’ll be picnicking on the Church lawn when we get back.

There’s a Nature Bingo sheet to tick off as we go, and there are a few things on there that will have you looking properly at the hedgerows.

At the woodland stop the children can fill a paper bag with fallen treasures and turn them into a tiny display on the ground.

We’ve also got a walking song to learn along the way, so bring your singing voice!

Remember… Water bottles and sun hats please. Pollen is high today, so anyone who suffers might want to take something before setting off.

All welcome and no need to book. Just come along and join us. Rev SJ

PS remember to read about our other events too - see poster

Holiday Adventures with Holy Oaks

There’s still time to book for our day out at the Wyre Forest on Tuesday 18th August. It’s the largest woodland National Nature Reserve in the country and there’s genuinely something for everyone. Children can follow the interactive Room on the Broom trail, build dens and let off steam in the play area. Anyone who fancies a gentler pace can wander the waymarked trails, explore the arboretum or simply find a shady spot to watch for deer and butterflies. This trip works for every age. All-terrain mobility scooters are available to hire and there’s an accessible trail suitable for scooters and pushchairs, so grandparents and little ones are just as welcome as everyone in between. Bring a picnic, or treat yourself at the forest café. It’s just £4 per person and the coach leaves St Philip’s at 10am. Scan the QR code or follow the link below…
