The parish is part of the Catholic Archdiocese of Birmingham, England, and is served from the historic Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Covering a large area, the parish stretches from Worcester in the south-west to Alvechurch in the north-east and serves Alvechurch, Feckenham and Hadzor.

Thursday 16th July – 7pm Mass followed by Parish Social and BBQ in the garden and parish hall
GRAND DRAW
Raffle tickets are now available from back of church and side porches. Please take a few books, sell the tickets, and return the money and counterfoils well before our Parish Feast Day on Thursday 16th July. This year we have a range of exciting prizes, together with cash prizes of £150, £100 and £75. Please support the parish raffle, which is a major fundraiser for the parish.
DONATIONS OF RAFFLE PRIZES URGENTLY NEEDED
We would be most grateful for donations of raffle prizes.
Do you have any unwanted gifts, unopened bottles of wine or spirits, boxes of chocolates, biscuits, or sweets?
Please bring them to church and place them in the collection box in the main porch.

Loving God, we pray for the people of Ukraine and the Middle East, and for all those suffering or afraid, that you will be close to them and protect them. We pray for world leaders, for compassion, strength and wisdom to guide their choices. We pray for the world that in this moment of crisis, we may reach out in solidarity to our brothers and sisters in need. May we walk in your ways so that peace and justice become a reality for

Congratulations to all the children from non-Catholic schools who made their First Holy Communion today. We pray that this special day will help them and their families grow in faith and love for Jesus.

We sincerely thank the parents and catechists for their support and dedication in preparing the children for this important sacrament. May God bless them all.

FR JITHIN AND DEACON DAVID
As you know, Deacon Jithin has been on pastoral placement in the parish with Fr Long since February. Archbishop Bernard has now appointed him Assistant Priest to Fr Long at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish. Deacon Jithin will be ordained to the priesthood on Monday 6th July.
Our trainee Deacon David will be ordained to the Permanent Diaconate on 18th July at St Chad’s Cathedral and will continue his ministry in our parish.
Fr Long invites parishioners who wish to do so to contribute towards a gift for Fr Jithin and Deacon David. These gifts will be presented at their Thanksgiving Mass on Sunday 19th July at 11.15am. Special envelopes are available with this weekend’s bulletin and may be returned over the next three weekends in the collection bags. Alternatively, offerings may be made through the contactless DONA machines located in the church porches. Thank you for your generosity and support.
