Eid al-Adha 1447 – Wednesday 27th May 2026

The month of Dhul-Hijjah 1447 commenced on Monday 18th May, and Eid al-Adha will be on Wednesday 27th May 2026, in sha Allah.

*Eid Prayer Times*
Brothers and sisters are welcome to attend all Jama'at. Please arrive early to secure your place and join us in celebrating this blessed occasion.

Masjid & Islamic Centre:
1st Jama'ah – 6:30am (Qari Yasir, Urdu)
2nd Jama'ah – 7:30am (Qari Huzaifa, Urdu)
3rd Jama'ah – 9:00am (Imam Yahia)
4th Jama'ah – 10:30am (Imam Faheem)

Masjid Reading, Alexandra Road:
Eid Jama'ah – 8:30am (Qari Ayub, Urdu)

*Important Information*
For 9:00am and 10:30am jama'at – please bring a prayer mat in case you are required to pray outside (AMIC only).
Limited parking at Aisha Masjid – please car share or walk where possible.
Please do not inconvenience masjid neighbours and the public bus route.
Sisters prayer space available for all prayers.

*The Significance of Eid al-Adha*
Eid al-Adha commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah. It is a time for prayer, reflection, and sharing with those in need. Muslims who are able to do so should arrange their Qurbani (sacrifice) and distribute the meat among family, friends, and the less fortunate.

Assalāmu Alaikum Warahmathullāhi Wabarakathahu,

This is a reminder of the change to summer timing for Jummah prayers from tomorrow at both *Jamme Masjid Alexandra Road* and *Aisha Masjid & Islamic Centre*.

*1st prayer is at 1:30pm*
*2nd prayer is at 2:30pm*

We encourage people to attend the 2:30pm prayer where possible, so there is an even spread of people across both prayers.

Everyone is reminded and urged to walk, cycle, use public transport or car share where possible and to park your cars safely in proper designated parking spaces without blocking or inconveniencing local residents and other road users.

It is important that our actions reflect a positive image of us as a Muslim community as our faith teaches us to look after our neighbours and be positive roles models in society.

Eid Mubarak!
Eid'ul Fitr - Friday 20 March 2026 / 1447 H

Assalamu alaikum - Peace be upon you

Brothers and sisters are welcome to attend all Jama'at to celebrate this blessed occasion. Please arrive early, we encourage people to walk, use public transport and car share if driving, then park sensibly in legitimate parking place. It is very important that as Muslims we display good and positive behaviour in all our actions.

It is strongly recommended that where possible, people attend the 6:30am and 7:30am Eid prayers so that we have an even spread of people across the 4 Jama'ahs.

We have also arranged a minibus shuttle service to transport people from TVP park and ride car park to Aisha Masjid and back between 8am and 11:30am. This will cover the 9:00am and 10:30am Eid prayers. Therefore, we highly recommend people attending 9am and 10:30am Eid prayers to use the car park at Thames Valley Park and minibus shuttle service.

We pray to Almighty Allah s.w.t to protect you, and bestow on you His blessings and forgiveness.

*As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahiwabarakatuh*,

The last 10 nights of blessed month of Ramadan have arrived.

Somewhere in these nights lies Laylatul Qadr.

"The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months." [Quran 97:3]

One night. More reward than 83 years of worship. Laylatul Qadr is the night when the first verses of the Quran were revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). A night filled with mercy, forgiveness, and answered prayers.

Many believe it falls on one of the odd nights of these final ten.

That is why believers seek it every night.
They pray more.
They make more dua.
They give more charity.

Because the needs of our Ummah never stop. Families need food. Communities need relief. Charities need donors who act.

Aisha Masjid is in urgent need of a new Lift and last 10 days is a fantastic opportunity to donate towards this sadaqah jaariya for you and your loved ones.

*RAMADAN 2026 – Aisha Masjid new Lift Appeal*

"The most beloved of deeds to Allah are those that are most consistent, even if they are small." (Prophet Muhammad ﷺ)

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Our Masjid is the heart of our community—a place where every person, regardless of age or physical ability, should feel welcome and able to worship.

For years, Aisha Masjid lift has served as a lifeline for the elderly, the disabled, and parents with young children, allowing them to access the main prayer halls and classrooms. Unfortunately, our current lift has reached the end of its life. It is no longer feasible to repair and professional advice is that a replacement is necessary.

The Goal: £35,000
We are raising funds to install a new modern, energy-efficient lift which will ensure safe, reliable access for decades to come.
