Network Vineyard Church Making Disciples - people who move in the power and presence of God

A contemporary church with an emphasis on making disciples who can communicate the message of the kingdom of God in word and power "My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power." 1 Cor 2:4

We meet on Sunday mornings at 10.30 at Woodley Hill House, Reading, Eastcourt Avenue, RG6 1HH

The Bible tells a story where nets don't break and boats don't sink. But what truly matters is Peter's unwavering spirit. A psychological law states we only sustain what aligns with our self-perception. To sustain change, our internal beliefs must shift first.

We would love to see you this Sunday (13th) at 10:30am, come and hear from Valerie Elyott, a gifted prophetic voice, author and itinerant speaker with a passion for helping people grow in intimacy with God and step boldly into His calling.

Valerie carries a heart to encourage, equip and awaken the Church to what God is doing and to inspire us to live with faith, purpose and expectation.

This mission isn't about getting busy, but about preparing our hearts. When we prepare our hearts, we prepare the way for the Lord and open ourselves to receive more of Jesus. It's an opportunity to embrace ministry not as mere busyness, but as a chance for the Spirit to flow through us in new and powerful ways, reaching new levels. This is revival.

πŸ“– Verse of the Week πŸ•ŠοΈ

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." – Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)

Anxiety can feel overwhelming, but God invites us to bring everything to Him in prayer. πŸ’™ His peace is available to guard our hearts and minds, even when we don't have all the answers.

Even after denying Jesus, Peter experienced a profound shift. From fishing all night with nothing to a miraculous catch, he didn't turn away. Instead, he ran towards Jesus, showing an internal change that allowed him to handle the divine. It's a powerful reminder of faith and transformation.

Peter and John boldly preached Jesus after healing a man, astonishing authorities. This highlights Jesus' strategy: ordinary people sharing God's kingdom on Earth with remarkable courage.

We often imagine power comes from grand stages and loud pronouncements. But it's frequently found in simple prayers, brief conversations, or small acts of service. The real magic happens not on a stage, but in our homes and around our dinner tables. Don't miss God's quiet movements by only seeking the dramatic.

Jesus asked, 'Who do people say that I am?' Peter's answer was spot on: 'You're the Christ, the Son of the living God.' This revelation led Jesus to say, 'On this rock I'll build my church.' It's all about understanding who Jesus truly is. Christ
