The raising of Lazarus

What is the role of church?

Connor reminded us that we are here to " roll away the stones" as Jesus asked Mary to do. So that the people we know will hear their name being called by Jesus.

And a second instruction: take off the grave clothes. Clothing is symbolic, a big deal in the Bible. Each week we continue to "wear grave clothes" although we have heard his voice call us. Taking off bandages can be painful and smelly and messy, but this is what we are called to do
