In this morning's all-age service we read Romans 8: 18-25 and reflected on the world’s, and our own, groaning as we wait in hope for God’s new creation. The wool on our sticks represented a colour chosen for God’s perfect creation, a colour for our world as it is now, and a colour for the new creation God has promised. The final colour was wound throughout the stick to remind us of the hope we hold onto while we wait for God’s kingdom to be made complete. I love how different our sticks all were, but that they all serve as personal reminders that we hold onto hope, even in the struggles of today.
