Warning!

We are aware of a burst water main just next to Waitrose Car park entrance on Crockhamwell Road.

From our understanding the road has been closed, with water and ice all the way to the junction of Arundel Road.

Please check before travelling and be careful as the pavement is also covered in ice past Christ Church.

We are very excited to welcome back Holiday Bible Club this summer and we are looking for treasure seekers.

Come along and join in the fun, learning more about Jesus through the world of Ancora with games, crafts and songs.

Holiday Bible Club is free and open to all children within our community, aged 5 to 10 year olds.

Registration will be on Monday 8th August at the following times;

Surnames beginning with A-M: 9.30am
Surnames beginning with N-Z: 9.45am

Come and join us for our Spring Fair on Saturday 14th May.

Our family-friendly Spring Fair, celebrates our community and raises funds for our church project.

This year we are raising funds for a community defibrillator at Christ Church.

Our Spring Fair highlights will include stalls selling a wide variety of goods including plants, crafts, gifts and other products such as Traidcraft.

You'll also be able to get your car washed by Boys Brigade and we'll be serving refreshments.

We look forward to welcoming you.

Come along to our next Saturday Sale at Christ Church Woodley on September 4th from 10.30 to 12.30. Books, toys, games, puzzles, kitchenware, greetings cards and plants for sale. Refreshments also available. Proceeds going to or Connection Point charities: Cowshed, CIRDIC, CCA and Toilet Twinning.

Can you help us? We’re short of a few items for this week’s lunches, and we’d be really grateful of any help you can give us ...

• Cakes or cake bars (individually wrapped)

• Chocolate biscuits (eg penguin, club etc)

Waitrose are kindly providing us with fruit, and we have enough drinks and mini-biscuits for this week.

Woodley Lunch Bunch is a local community group that delivers packed lunches and activities in the school holidays to the children of families who find themselves needing a bit of extra help.

The wonderful people of Woodley have always been a great help to us, and we’re asking for your help again please. We are currently supporting 126 children in 57 families, and we can only do this with the help of the local community.

• Our wonderful, ever willing and cheerful volunteers who make the lunches
• Christ Church Woodley for the food donations
• Waitrose & Partners and Morrisons Woosehill for providing fresh fruit and veg for today’s lunches
• Woodley Baptist Church for hosting us again
• The Cowshed who provided the brilliant and generous food bags that we delivered today
• Our volunteer delivery drivers who went the extra mile today with those heavy bags, especially those who delivered upstairs.

Christ Church Woodley would like to send her Majesty the Queen our deepest sympathy following the announcement of the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Royal Family and the Commonwealth as our nations come together to mourn and remember the life of Prince Philip, a man who dedicated his life to public service and especially young people through the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
