The Barberettes were amazing today. Four party harmonies in all their glory.

This is just the first of four performances today.
Next up it's the big flood of the recycled mini buildings with the only question is ... Will the flood come via a torrential downpour?

It's just a few days till the St Nicolas Summer Fair - this Saturday 6th June 11am-3pm.

I know you're looking at the weather forecast and wondering what will happen, but don't worry, we are fully prepared for wet or dry weather!

Food stalls include: Asian street food; pizza; tea & strawberries & scones; coffee stand; mango lassi; candyfloss; ice-cream; bottled beer from the Outhouse Brewery.

Or, bring your own picnic and blanket for indoors or outside.

Stalls: cakes; plants; jewellery; candles; fairtrade goods; homemade crafts; books; clothing...

Children's activities: ballon modelling; arts & craft; splat the Malteser; face painting & henna tattoos...

Entertainment & activities: Barbarettes Choir and Silver Swans Dancers; costumed volunteers from the Star Wars 501st Legion; the Repair Cafe; the Flood interactive art installation and more.

Please walk or cycle if you can, otherwise Parking is offsite only, including spaces in Loddon School carparks (Hillside Road or Silverdale Road entrances)

The ministers and community of St Nicolas are deeply saddened to learn of the news of the recent death near Maiden Place.

The church on Sutcliffe Avenue will be open over the next few days, from 9am-6pm, for those who would like to come and light a candle in prayer for those affected.

"Be merciful to me, Lord, for I am in distress; my eyes grow weak with sorrow, my soul and body with grief" (Psalm 31:9).

Father, we pray for those whose eyes have grown weak with sorrow, whose soul and body are weighed down by grief, and whose strength may be failing. Lord, pour out your mercy upon them. Let your face shine upon them and save them in your unfailing love. In the name of our merciful Saviour, Jesus Christ, Amen.
