Baptism is a significant step in the life of faith, and it helps to prepare well. Our online Understanding Baptism course on the Learning Hub lets you explore what baptism means, at your own pace, in your own time.

Whether you are just beginning to ask questions or already planning a baptism or confirmation with your church, this short course is a practical and reflective way to prepare.

Prayer Weekend

This weekend we are inviting everyone in our three churches to come and pray. A chance to slow down and be still- sitting in God's presence for a short time and praying for our community. There will be pictures to look at, scents to smell and sounds to listen to to stimulate your prayers.

When? You can choose anytime of day to suit you. There will be resources to help you pray or you can just sit in silence. We'll start with traditional evening prayer at 7pm on Friday and finish with night prayer on Sunday at 8pm. The hours in between are for you to come. The suggestion is to come for an hour but if you need to leave earlier that is fine.

To book a slot, click on the form link below:

Where?
In the St Mary's Church Centre. There will be self serve refreshments and the room will be warm and welcoming. Press the doorbell to be let in.

Why?
Our lives are very busy and it can be hard to carve out time to be still in God's presence and to listen as well as ask him for things. Prayer is the heartbeat of any church and we rely on God's guidance, strength and empowerment, for us as individuals and as a community. We would love to fill the building with continuous prayer this weekend and are really hoping that you will join us! Val, Hans, Lizzy, Chrissie, Julie and Mark
