*SALĀTUL KUSŪF – SOLAR ECLIPSE PRAYER*

Assalāmu ʿalaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh,

In shā’ Allāh, on Wednesday 12th August 2026, a solar eclipse will be visible in the UK. This is an opportunity for us to pause from our daily lives, turn to Allah, remember Him and seek His forgiveness.

We invite everyone to join us at Abu Bakr Masjid for Ṣalātul Kusūf.

TIMINGS

🕕 6:00pm – Everyone to congregate in the Masjid
🕕 6:10pm – Short Naseehah & explanation of the method of Ṣalāh
🕡 6:40pm – Ṣalātul Kusūf
🕖 7:15pm – Adhān for ʿAṣr
🕢 7:20pm – ʿAṢR JAMĀʿAT

*IMPORTANT: ʿAṢR WILL BE AT 7:20PM*
Please note carefully that ʿAṣr Jamāʿat on this day will be at 7:20pm.
The Adhān will be called at 7:15pm.

During the eclipse, we should increase our Ṣalāh, duʿā, dhikr, istighfār and charity, and reflect upon the greatness and power of Allah.

🌑 The eclipse is not merely an astronomical event; it is a reminder of the عظَمة (greatness) and power of Allah.
