Follow our new page to hear the Advent O Antiphons sung each evening from now until 23rd. This was last night’s antiphon, O Sapientia (O Wisdom).

“O Wisdom, coming forth from the mouth of the Most High, reaching from one end to the other, mightily and sweetly ordering all things: Come and teach us the way of prudence.”

From 17–23 December, the Church prays with the O Antiphons — ancient cries of longing drawn from Scripture and traditionally sung before and after the Magnificat at Evening Prayer.

It may only be October but diaries fill up fast so it’s not too early to advertise our special Advent events at ESP!

As well as our usual services and groups, we have three special Wednesday evening services and an Advent/Christmas themed craft afternoon.

Apologies, but due to unexpected circumstances we will not be live streaming Morning Prayer from next week as originally planned. The service streaming will go ahead in the near future so please keep an eye out for notices on Facebook, the parish newsletter/bulletin or the website.

We are so grateful to our fantastic Director of Music Ben, and to our organist, choir and song school, for their commitment and creativity.

A couple of weeks ago our Director of Music Ben de Souza was presented with our Church Choir Award by RSCM Director Hugh Morris and Trustee John Halsey. The certificate is now on display at the back of church - do take a look!

Questions and Cake - our youth group - takes place tonight at 6.30pm in the church hall. For young people from school year 6 and upwards.

There will be no Morning Prayer in church tomorrow (Wednesday 15 October) and church won’t be open for visitors.
However, Tots and Teddies will be on as usual at 10.15am in church.

Thank you to those who have watched our trial live streaming of Morning Prayer. Apologies for the breaks in transmission this morning - we know why this occurred and shouldn’t happen again.
We will continue tweak the position of the camera and to optimise sound, and (realistic!) feedback is helpful.
As of next week, we will be live streaming MP Monday-Wednesday (unless specified otherwise).
