The countdown has started and plans are coming together towards our next Stay and Play during the upcoming half term, Wednesday 27 May.

As part of Church Explorers Week, St James Church will be open on Wednesday 27th May, for visitors to discover the history of our church.
In the morning from 10am to 12 noon, there is a Stay & Play session for families, and the church will be open until 3pm in the afternoon.
Look up above the internal entrance door, in the porch, and read the old board there. Come and find all the carved animals on the choir stalls, and see our historic, Grade 2 listed, Brindley organ. Search for the signature creature of one of Mousey Thompson of Kilburn's apprentices piece of furniture. Lots to discover, all welcome.

Many thanks to all our bakers, plant growers, washer uppers, helpers, and those who came to support our Plant, Cake stalls, and coffee morning, it raised £485.70. A wonderful effort all round.
