Rowan Williams will be here with others in search of 'Abercuawg' a place at the 'heart' of Wales that RS Thomas spoke about 50 years ago at the National Eisteddfod in 1976.
Come and listen to Rowan Williams and Jenny Rowlands from Dublin, the leading expert on Welsh medieval poetry, amongst others. Come to the Schubert Concert on the Saturday night and join in the Cymanfa Ganu on Sunday.

Bydd Esgob Bangor yn siaradwr Cymraeg rhugl neu’n ddysgwr Cymraeg ar lefel uwch.

Rydym yn chwilio am unigolyn gweddigar, cadarn yn ei ofal bugeiliol, ac sy’n gallu arwain gyda chlirdeb a thosturi.

This is a significant moment in the life of the diocese. We are looking for a leader who will rebuild trust, strengthen oversight, and provide clear direction for the future.

The Bishop of Bangor will be a fluent Welsh speaker or an advanced Welsh learner.

We are looking for someone who is prayerful, pastorally grounded, and able to lead with clarity and compassion.

The closing date for expressions of interest and suggestions is 12pm on Wednesday 29 April 2026.

Byddem yn dathlu’r Cymun arbennig yma gydag Archesgob Cherry Vann | Celebrate Chrism Mass with the Archbishop of Wales

Cynhelir yr Offeren Crism ar ddydd Mercher yn ystod yr Wythnos Sanctaidd, 1af o Ebrill am 11am yng Nghadeirlan Bangor.

Rydym yn annog pob offeiriad, diacon a gweinidogion lleyg trwyddedig i fynychu ac mae croeso cynnes i holl aelodau ein cynulleidfaoedd hefyd. Bydd cyfle i adnewyddu ein haddewidion a'n disgyblyddiaeth wrth i ni gerdded gyda Iesu yn ystod yr wythnos sanctaidd hon.

Chrism Mass will take place on the Wednesday of Holy Week, 1st of April at 11am in Bangor Cathedral.

We encourage all priests, deacons and licensed lay ministers to attend and there is a warm welcome for all members of our congregations. There will be an opportunity to renew our vows and promises as we walk with Jesus in this holiest of weeks.

Congregation members are also welcome.
