Fairtrade Fortnight 2025 - 22nd Sept - 5th October!

Please put the dates in your diary and look out for Fairtrade products when you shop. They are available in all the major supermarkets, including Lidl in Billingshurst and the Co-op shop at the new petrol station opposite the recycling centre, Oxfam and also in smaller independent shops.

We will be promoting Fairtrade Fortnight with a stall at Pulborough Village Market on Saturday 13th September. There will be with a fabulous Fairtrade Hamper Raffle, with prizes donated by Tesco and Waitrose and Fairtrade chocolate tasting, thanks to the Co-op. As always, you will be able to enjoy Fairtrade tea & coffee with breakfast or home-made cake.

We also hope to run a childrens’ activity at the St Mary’s Church Harvest Fete on Saturday 4th October.

Please come along and support these village events. You’ll find us next to our new Fairtrade Community banner.

Services are now taking place on Sunday mornings on the church lawn at 10.30am. If the weather is bad, we may move indoors. It's really important that we know who will be in attendance, so that seating and other arrangements can be made in a Covid secure way.

Please bring a mask!

Please email [email protected] if you would like to come along.

Details...
From 4.30 and 8.30pm on 1st to 28th of December, houses will display an illuminated advent window for passers-by to admire.
Each window will be numbered, and the first six will be lit from the 1st December. From the 7th onwards, another window will be lit each night, just as if the windows of an advent calendar are being opened. Then from 24th to 28th December, all 24 windows will be displayed.

A Christmas Trail organised by St Mary’s School PTA – will also be available all day throughout Advent – with clues and the chance to win a small prize if you complete it successfully!

More info:
The map shows where to find the windows, this along with instructions for the Christmas Trail, will be available the week before 1st December via the St Mary’s School newsletter, The Pulborough Update or by e-mailing [email protected].

When visiting the windows, please respect the privacy of homeowners who have volunteered to take part, and follow the current Covid restrictions. This is an initiative involving the village churches and your local school and deserves your support. We all hope you enjoy it!

Organised by Pulborough URC and St Mary’s Primary School PTA with help from St Mary’s Parish Church and Pulborough Brooks Baptist Church.
