CLOCK UPDATE !!🕰️
if you’ve been past Church recently, you might have noticed a very welcome sight and sound... our clock has been repaired and is working again!

Did you know? The clock has an amazing local history! It was made by Potts of Pudsey (who later became world-famous as Potts of Leeds). Their original workshop was actually just down the road on Chapeltown!

We are so grateful for all the support, donations, and fundraising during our bicentenary year and beyond. We are also grateful to the company who were upgrading the phone mast who allowed the clock engineers use of the scaffolding once their work is complete (you may have noticed the better signal in the area to!) this saved us having to arrange our own scaffolding for these repairs.

While we’ve managed to get the clock running again, it still requires a full, proper restoration—which is going to cost a significant amount. We’re currently looking into heritage grants, but every little bit helps us keep this historic gem running for future generations!

With summer here things are a little quieter in church during the week but don’t worry! Connect Lunch is still here every Thursday.
Everyone’s welcome to come and enjoy lunch in a relaxed, friendly space. We have a selection of sandwiches, homemade cake, hot and cold drinks, plenty of room for the kids to play and it’s all free of charge.

Whether you’re taking a break, looking for company or fancy a treat, come along and make the most of it. We’d love to see you.

St. Georges Crypt – appeal for bottled water
During this hot weather, St George’s Crypt is in need of bottled water for those they care for. If you’re able to donate, we’ll be collecting at church on Sunday 5th July and Sunday 12th July.

We’d love you to join us for at our next Quiz Night, THE WAR YEARS on Saturday 4th July, 6.00–8.30pm. A fun evening for all ages to test their knowledge.

If you’ve never been to one of our quizzes before, why not give this one a try. From experience they’re great fun and there’s always something for everyone. You’ll receive a friendly welcome as soon as you arrive.

We’re looking forward to Praise & Picnic, a simple time of praise, shared food and friendly conversation in the sunshine & fresh air. It’s a lovely way to get to know others, invite someone along and enjoy being together. Just bring your picnic and something comfy to sit on.
