St Andrew's Pudsey Methodist Church

St Andrew's Pudsey Methodist Church Come, meet God in our inclusive, welcoming community in central Pudsey, West Yorkshire. St. Sunday worship, including Junior Church, is at 10:30 am.

Andrew's Methodist Church is located on Robin Lane in the centre of the historic market town of Pudsey. Once a month (often the first Sunday) we share Communion together, and on the fourth Sunday of the month, Messy Church, fun for all ages, takes the place of the main service. A prayer service takes place each Tuesday from 11:00 -11:30, after which Light Lunches are available. On Saturdays, there

's coffee and chat from 10 till noon. And loads more! Our Minister is Rev Mo Onyett, phone 01430 411898 or email [email protected].

Did you guess what we did in Messy Church last Sunday, from the big picture clue?

It was one of the stories Jesus told, and we used Lego models to tell it.

There was a father looking anxiously down the road, towards the lights and excitement of a big city...

When the father saw, a long way away, his lost son coming home, and what tales he had to tell!

Could you have guessed?

He was so sorry for having wasted his Dad’s money, and having to take a dirty, smelly job looking after pigs! But Dad said ...

“You’re home safe now! Let’s have a party! Because what matters is, my son’s come home safe!”

So we made yummy pigs out of chocolate, then we all drew our favourite party foods for the party in the barn!

I wonder what Messy Church will be next time! Sunday 22nd February, 9.45 for breakfast, and 1030 for the Messy session.

Will we see you there?

Messy Church starts again this Sunday morning, the 25th, for the New Year. Can you guess what story we'll be telling?

Our clue is a very famous painting, showing a young man wearing rags and worn-out shoes. He's kneeling in front of an older man who's got a rich red cloak on. Other people are watching on. What do you think is happening?

Find out more at St Andrew's on Robin Lane - 9.45 this Sunday for a light breakfast, 10.30 for the session with its usual mix of story, singing, crafts and fun for every age.

Come, celebrate the real Christmas with the St Andrew's Methodist Church community in 2025.

This evening, at 1130 pm, there's the Midnight Communion in our Robin Lane church. To many people, this is the high point of the season, with carols and a deep, meaningful celebration.

On Christmas morning, we'll be joining a short, joyful, informal service for all ages at St Mark's on Swinnow Lane. That starts at 1030am - bring a present to show everyone and wear your Christmas clothes!

And if you can't make either of those, just remember that you are valued, you are loved, and you are a gift from God to everyone around you. Merry Christmas!

(And we did make normal sized ones to take home, of course)

This evening at 6, we'll have our annual Carols by Candlelight service. Come and join in!

(Rather like our Two Rs, Richard and Ronnie, you'll find a torch or a phone light will be useful!)
