HISTORY - The church was built in 1725-26 as a chapel of ease to St. John's Church, Preston, and was enlarged in 1799, when it is likely that the transepts were added. Fr David has recently been in Ghana visiting our link parish of St George’s Cathedral in Ho. Whilst there he met with local clergy and was able to strengthen our partnership. At the Parish Mass on the Sunday he was able to present the Cathedral with an Altar Missal and Book of the Gospels - a gift from us to them. He was also installed as an Honorary Canon in recognition for the support and friendship he has offered the diocese there.

The annual trip to Ladyewell is upon us once again. It's always a lovely day. Do come and offer your support as we people gather from across the North West. This year we're joined by the Bishop of Oswestry, the Rt Revd Paul Thomas SSC.

If you are coming bring a brolly and a packed lunch. You'll definitely need the latter and hopefully you won't need the former!
