Sunday Club returns this Sunday 13th September to join the Harvest of Hope weekend. ๐Ÿšธ

During the service we will be holding a fun teddy bear's picnic. All children are invited to join us for a little party and picnic lunch. Don't forget to bring your bear ๐Ÿงธ

As this is Harvest weekend, if you are also able to bring a donation of non-perishable food for the food bank that would be brilliant ๐Ÿฅจ

This Sunday 26th July is our St Anne's Patronal Festival day.

We will hold a special church service at 10.30am with Bishop Jill, the Bishop of Lancaster.

Following the service we will have our annual church BBQ, kindly hosted by Steve and Pauline Bamber. There will be food and time to get together with a bouncy castle provided for the children.

All are welcome to join us at the service and the BBQ.

Last Sunday was our Sunday Club end of term celebration.
We played games, ate cake (thanks Debra!) and made some lovely windmills that will remind us of our church family whenever it blows round ๐Ÿ’•

Sunday Club has now finished for the summer but all children and their families are encouraged to join us in church for our weekly service on Sundays at 10.30am throughout July and August. Everyone welcome ๐Ÿ˜Š

Last Sunday at Sunday Club we talked about Jesus helping us when we feel tired, weary or anxious. We talked about Jesus being like a rock that we can rely on and trust in during hard times.
We played some games to get us feeling tired and then spent a little time trying to feel calm and comforted. We kept still as rocks and we also decorated our own rocks and pebbles to remind us that Jesus is our rock.

What a busy few weeks we've had here at Sunday Club.
We've talked about the "three in one" for Trinity Sunday and we made some lovely paint pictures and window decorations using our 3 colours to show Father ๐Ÿ’™ Son ๐Ÿ’› and Holy Spirit ๐Ÿฉท
We heard about Jesus raising Jairus' daughter from the dead and we played sleeping lions and a memory game and talked about how Jesus can do great things โœจ

During May so far we have ...

Thought about Jesus bringing us comfort by being the way, the truth and the life. We thought about things that bring us comfort and how we can follow the way of Jesus.

Thought about Jesus teaching us the most important commandment: love the Lord our God with all your heart, soul and mind. We made signs to help people know this commandment. We also thought about staying close to the Holy Spirit and practised this with our balloons.

Thought about coming together as one. We worked together in a game to reach a goal and together we made our biggest artwork ever!

What a busy April we have had at Sunday Club!

We celebrated Easter Sunday with an Easter Egg hunt and made Easter cards to share.

We thought about trusting in Jesus and knowing he's always there when we need him.

We made special glasses to remind us to look closely for Jesus when his presence isn't always obvious.

Finally, we talked about Jesus being the Good Shepherd and how, like his flock of sheep; he knows us all, keeps us safe and leads us.

Thank you to everyone for joining us throughout Easter and April. It's been lovely to see you all.

Sunday Club is on each Sunday (unless otherwise stayed here) during the 10.30am service. All children and their grown ups are welcome to join us ๐Ÿ˜Š
