We are very excited to let you know about our Welcome Weekend 2026. A free, yes completely free family fun day on Saturday 19th September. With crazy golf, bbq, bouncy castles, crafts, cafe, games and a show from 'Colin the Coin'. Shows at 10:45am and 12:15pm. Come for as long or as little time as you like, suitable for all ages.

Writer for the TV series Miranda, James Cary, is doing a show on Saturday 19th September at 6:30pm. It's called 'God, the bible and everything in 60 minutes'. Refreshments come included in the price. Tickets are a bargain at £5 for adults and £2 for under 18's.

The weekend concludes with a special service at Church on Sunday at 10:30am. As with all our services all ages are welcomed to come and explore who Jesus is. If you've ever wondered what a Church service at St Christopher's is like, this would be a great chance to give it a go.

Little seeds is back on this Monday 7th September 9:30-11am at St Christopher's. If you've got pre-schoolers you'd very welcome to join us. We can't wait to welcome back our regulars and we are excited to meet newcomers too. See you Monday.

Volunteers Needed! On Saturday 29th Auguat we will be painting the ceiling in the church hall. We will be there from 10am till 4pm and need help moving scaffolding , painting, making brews etc. If you are free please do come along to help. 😁

Last Little Seeds of the term is Monday 13th July. We will be starting back on September 7th. Can't wait to see you tomorrow for the last one. A massive thank-you to all who've come this year and an even bigger thank-you to the incredible team of volunteers who make it such a warm, friendly and enjoyable space for pre-schoolers and their parent and carers.

An update: The parents and carers of the boys involved with vandalism at church have brought them to meet with the Vicar. They expressed their regret at what they had done and have agreed to do some work to make up for the issues caused. These parents and carers have done the right thing and we are thankful to them for pro-active in contacting us to get it sorted. We now consider the matter closed.

We continue to pray for the boys to know the amazing forgiveness of God, that we all need, which is found in the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus. Indeed church isn't a place for those who think they are good enough for God, but rather those who realise they aren't. Yet this God still loves us even when we are at our worst. Romans 5:8 'But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.'

We really appreciate the community response to this and the care shown toward our church. Our prayer is that our community here in Lea may more and more be shaped by the good news of Jesus. We think this will make Lea an even better place to live. You are always welcome to come to Church. Our services are at 10:30am on Sundays and Thursdays.

Tuesday 12th May, is going to be a very special day as Rev. Joe is being officially collated as Vicar of St. Christopher's Lea.
Please come and join in this wonderful celebration. All welcome. 6:30pm
