☀️🎉 SUMMER FESTIVAL IS ALMOST HERE! 🎉☀️

We’re so excited to bring OLSE Summer Festival on Saturday 27th June, 1pm–4pm! 🌈

It’s set to be an amazing afternoon packed with family fun, including:
✨ Live music
🫧 Bubble show
🐛 Creepy Crawly Roadshow
🦆 PNE Duck appearance
🎨 Face painting
🎈 Balloon modelling
🎯 Traditional games
🍦 Ice cream, candy floss & delicious food vendors
🎁 Grand raffle with fantastic prizes!

🎟️ Entry is just £2 and pre-school children go FREE!

🌿 Parish Update & Celebration 🌿

We’re delighted to share some wonderful news from our parish community!

🙏 Our June Parish Lunch raised an incredible £300 towards church repairs. A huge thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, and supported this fantastic effort.

🎉 Last night we hosted our Post-Confirmation Celebration, organised by our primary school PTA. It was a lovely evening filled with a warm family atmosphere and provided a wonderful opportunity for Bishop Paul to meet parishioners and celebrate with our people and their families.

🌱 We were also pleased to welcome Bishop Paul to our garden, where Stephen Garsed shared the vision and plans for our developing Peace Garden. Bishop Paul was very impressed with the project and its potential for our parish community.

👏 A special thank you to Stephen for all his hard work and dedication.

🌿 A Huge Thank You to Our Amazing Volunteers! 🌿

Huge thanks to two of our dedicated volunteers, Owen and Sam, spent time in the sunshine helping to improve our centre grounds. Their hard work saw green waste removed and replaced with an incredible 12 tonnes of topsoil!

The operation was no small task and involved a digger, trailer, grabber, plenty of planning, and a lot of hard work. 👏

A massive thank you and well done to Owen and Sam for giving their time and energy to help make a difference.

🌿 Peace Garden Update 🌿

We’ve listened to feedback from wheelchair users and our younger members, and plans are moving forward! Two designs have been created, now we’d love your input.

Please let us know which design you prefer (and share any ideas) before 14 May

There’ll be more chances to get involved before construction begins on 1 July 💚

What an incredible afternoon 🩵

Our charity concert with Fulwood Chamber Orchestra was a wonderful success, welcoming an audience of 56 and raising an amazing £401.02 for Blue Flamingo.

Blue Flamingo host two lunches each month for those living with dementia and their carers, and we are so proud to support the beautiful work they do.

Thank you to everyone who came along, supported, donated, and made the day so special, your kindness truly makes a difference ✨

Did you know that knowing basic CPR and how to use a defibrillator could help save someone’s life in an emergency? ❤️

We’re supporting these FREE NHS Lancashire Lifesavers training sessions at OLSE Parish Centre (PR2 9UE), where you’ll learn essential, life-saving skills in a friendly and supportive environment.

🗓 Dates:
Thursday 16th April OR Tuesday 28th April 2026
⏰ 9:00am – 12:30pm

✨ Limited to just 15 spaces per session – so be quick!
