Prestatyn Church in Wales Prestatyn Church in Wales is primarily about CHS & St Melyd's Meliden. Christ Church has a new page. It contains some very good modern stained glass.

Christ Church Prestatyn, (the Parish Church) was built from around 1861-63 and it was Consecration on Whitsunday 27 May 1863. It has been enlarged twice, in 1905 the South Aisle was added and in 1926 the Chancel was built. In 2013 we celebrate our 150th Anniversary. Prestatyn Parish Church is registered with the Charities Commissioners - Registered Charity Number: 1141717

Just one more sleep, then look for the special map here first thing tomorrow, so that your youngsters know where to look for those painted pebbles. When they find one, they simply have to take it to a swap table between 12.30pm and 2pm tomorrow.

Two more sleeps until The Prestatyn and Meliden Easter Pebble Dash! For those with young children - you simply look up the online map here and then take them to the local places indicated from as early as you like on Easter Sunday where you can find decorated pebbles. Then you bring them to the appropriate church where there will be a 'swap table' between 12.30pm and 2pm. For every pebble found there will be a chocolate egg (one per child) - it's all free, with the eggs kindly donated by church folk and others in the community. If your child fails to find a pebble, just get them to make a colourful drawing of the pebble they would have liked to have found and they'll get something for that. Happy Hunting!

Love was all around this afternoon at CHS’s Valentine Day Afternoon Tea. We were treated to a delicious afternoon tea, amazing table service and a wonderful medley of love themed songs sung by Ken. Thanks to the kitchen team, waiters, Ken and all involved in setting up or helping to decorate the church. It was lovely! 💕

Following the death of Andre Cartwright before Christmas, the details for his funeral are as follows:
11am Monday 5th January at St Melyd's Church,
followed by burial in Christ Church graveyard.
Refreshments will be available at the Masonic Hall.
All are very welcome!
The picture is from 'Just Be You' (the St Melyd's drop-in on alternate Tuesdays at 2pm) when we made Christmas decorations in 2024.
