Join us for a night of fun and fabulous prizes at our Parish Bingo Night. Friday 12th June at Prescot Guild Hall. Doors open 6.45pm Eyes down 7.30pm. Tickets £8.50 available from the Guild Hall or from Church. It will be great to see you there!

As we begin the month of May, a month of special devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, we crown her statue recognising her as Queen of Heaven and Earth. A huge thank you to Helen Sweeney who crowned during Mass yesterday.

It was lovely to welcome John O’Ryan to Mass this morning. John’s family donated the statue of Our Lady back in 1960 in memory of Dr O’Ryan and the members of their family. Please remember them in your prayers.

Join us this Sunday as we begin the week of prayer for Christian Unity with our annual Ecumenical Service. We look forward to welcoming our friends from neighbouring churches across the town to celebrate the Christian Faith. The service is at 3pm on Sunday 18th January. All are welcome.

Today during Mass, our Altar Server, Joseph, will be inducted into the Guild of St Stephen. The Guild was founded to help train servers for the altar under the patronage of St Stephen, the patron saint of Servers and Deacons. The Guild has been part of the parish since 1961 when it was introduced by Canon Henry. Joseph will receive his bronze medal which includes the guild motto 'Cui servire regnare est', meaning to serve Christ is to reign.

Today is the Epiphany. We celebrate the arrival of the Magi who seek the infant Jesus who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. The Magi represent all who search for Christ and long to know the joy and peace He brings. If anyone is curious about the Catholic faith or would like to be baptised or received into the Church you are welcome to speak to Fr Dominic.

Join us tonight at 6.30 pm as we gather around the Christmas Tree on Market Place for some festive carol singing.

Why not join us for our Ecumenical Longest Night Service tonight at 6.30 at Prescot Parish Church. Not everyone is feeling up and cheery at this time of year. Coping with bereavement, facing life after separation, living with employment difficulties or loneliness, can make people want to mark Christmas in a different way. Come along for a time of quiet reflection, remembrance and music.
