Tuesday 17th February - Shrove Tuesday, or Pancake Day, traditionally marked by ringing the "Shriving Bell" (or Pancake Bell) to call the faithful to confession before Lent. Originating in pre-Reformation England, this bell historically signaled the last chance to use up eggs, butter, and fat, sparking the tradition of making pancakes.

Listen out at 11am to hear David Bradbury ring our Pancake Bell.
