St. Cuthbert's with St. Aidan's We are Anglican churches in the Diocese of Portsmouth, serving our communities by sharing God's love St. There's a lot going on!

We are Anglican (Church of England) churches which are located in the North East corner of the ‘island’ of Portsmouth. Cuthbert’s Church, Copnor has served the community which has grown up around it, for 100 years. Aidan's Church was 'planted' on the new housing development of Anchorage Park to the North of the parish in 1991. The Clergy and Congregation at either of our churches will be delighted

to welcome you, both on Sundays or at activities on other days of the week. Do get in touch, as we'd like to meet you in person if at all possible. May God bless you, today and in the future.

It's our Summer Fayre tomorrow (Saturday 6th June) and we will be going ahead whatever the weather!
We will probably be inside the church but that won't stop us providing the usual array of stalls, raffles and tombolas, refreshment, music and activities so do come and join us from 11am until 3pm.
We've also got the fabulous Made Brisk Coffee Pop-Up joining us to add extra quality to our refreshments on the day!
Entrance is £1 for adults and there's no charge for under 16s and you'll find us on the corner of Hayling Avenue and Lichfield Road in Baffins (PO3 6DE)

Our summer fayre is just over a week away now (Saturday 6th June 11am-3pm) and we're looking forward to welcoming you here to St Cuthbert's. There will be lots to see and do, to watch, to eat and to buy so come and join us in the grounds of the church and vicarage provided it's not raining, in which case we will be in the church... £1 for adults, under 16s free!
Donations of good quality items always welcome - if you can bring them into church any weekday morning when the cafe is open that would be fantastic...

A reminder that we are hosting an initial interest meeting for the the Hampshire Women's Institute at St Cuthbert's on Monday June 1st, from 7pm, which could lead to establishing a new group in the area if there is sufficient interest!

We're delighted to welcome members of the Hampshire Women's Institute to St Cuthbert's on Monday June 1st, from 7pm.
If you ever wondered what the WI was all about, now's your chance to find out! This will be an initial interest meeting open to anyone who might want to come along and find out more about establishing a new group for the area.
St Cuthbert's is on the corner of Hayling Avenue and Lichfield Road in the Baffins area of Portsmouth (PO3 6DE) and a warm welcome awaits!

Just a reminder that we are running a couple of sessions this week on Wills, Funerals and leaving a legacy with the key intention of helping people plan ahead in support of their loved ones.
The sessions are on Wednesday 20th May (7.30pm-9pm) and Thursday 21st (1.30pm-3pm).
You will be able to hear from local solicitor Jenny Walker and Sally Cornwell from the Co-Op Funeral Care who will provide expert insight, hints and tips during the sessions, supported by our very own Revd Carol Gully.
The sessions are both the same and free to come along to so do choose the one that's most convenient and come and join us if you think it might help you. They are being held in church.

This morning's cafe church explored the concept of Hope in the Darkness. The children were welcomed to gather at the alter to watch Clive prepare the table for the Eucarist.
Cafe Church is our monthly all age family - thought provoking conversation for young and old. Why not come and give it a try next month on 21st June!

We're back with Cafe Church this Sunday (17th May) and this time our theme will be 'Hope in the darkness'. As always there will be lots to think about and discuss and we hope you'll give this increasingly popular, family-friendly service a go, with things to interest adults and children alike! Usual arrangements apply - the service itself starts at 10.45am but, if you want to arrive early to enjoy coffee and pastries, then we'd love to see you from 10.15am!

It's all too easy to put off writing a will, or even planning a funeral, and not always an easy subject to discuss either.
But if you keep meaning to do something about it but never quite get round to it we might be able to help...
We are running a couple of 'Leaving a legacy' sessions at St Cuthbert's Wednesday 20th May (730-9pm) or Thursday 21st (1.30-3pm) where you will be able to find out about writing or changing a will, or what to think about when planning a funeral, and what to consider if you are thinking of leaving a legacy in your will to a charity or your church.
We're delighted that we will be joined at the sessions by local solicitor Jenny Walker and Sally Cornwell from the Co-Op Funeral Care who will provide expert insight, hints and tips during the sessions.
The sessions are both the same and free to come along to so do come and join us if you think it might be of benefit to you. They are being held in church.
