St. Cuthbert's with St. Aidan's

St. Cuthbert's with St. Aidan's We are Anglican churches in the Diocese of Portsmouth, serving our communities by sharing God's love St. There's a lot going on!

We are Anglican (Church of England) churches which are located in the North East corner of the ‘island’ of Portsmouth. Cuthbert’s Church, Copnor has served the community which has grown up around it, for 100 years. Aidan's Church was 'planted' on the new housing development of Anchorage Park to the North of the parish in 1991. The Clergy and Congregation at either of our churches will be delighted

to welcome you, both on Sundays or at activities on other days of the week. Do get in touch, as we'd like to meet you in person if at all possible. May God bless you, today and in the future.

Well, that was quite a week! Our Holiday at Home 2026 has been a big success after 'trips' overseas to Spain, China and Brazil as once again we went travelling with some intrepid globetrotters all without having to leave St Cuthbert's...
Holiday at Home gives people who otherwise might not be able to get away a chance to glimpse the customs, culture and culinary delights of different countries through a series of activity days. This year that included Flamenco dancing, ceramic painting, chair-based Tai-Chi, South American drumming and our very own Rio carnival procession - all thanks to the fantastic skills of our entertainment providers, generous donors and our amazing, tireless band of Holiday at Home volunteers, who now need a holiday themselves! We even had our own passports and border control (without the fingerprinting...)
Loads of fun, great company, delicious food and new friendships formed. Here's to next year's travels!

If you have not yet been able to see what our Cafe Church is all about then now's your chance as it returns this Sunday (19th July) and this time our theme will be 'Praise'. Who do we praise and why? Does God need our praise and should that be through song or are there other ways? As always there will be lots to think about and discuss and we hope you'll give our increasingly popular, family-friendly service a go, with lots to interest adults and children alike! Usual arrangements apply - the service itself starts at 10.45am but, if you want to arrive early to enjoy coffee and pastries, then we'd love to see you from 10.15am!

Our summer fayre is just over a week away now (Saturday 6th June 11am-3pm) and we're looking forward to welcoming you here to St Cuthbert's. There will be lots to see and do, to watch, to eat and to buy so come and join us in the grounds of the church and vicarage provided it's not raining, in which case we will be in the church... £1 for adults, under 16s free!
Donations of good quality items always welcome - if you can bring them into church any weekday morning when the cafe is open that would be fantastic...
