Al-Baqara 286
আল্লাহ কাউকেও তার সাধ্যের অতিরিক্ত দায়িত্ব অর্পণ করেন না। যে ভাল উপার্জন করবে সে তার (প্রতিদান পাবে) এবং যে মন্দ উপার্জন করবে সে তার (প্রতিফল পাবে)। হে আমাদের প্রতিপালক! যদি আমরা বিস্মৃত হই অথবা ভুল করি তাহলে তুমি আমাদেরকে অপরাধী করো না। হে আমাদের প্রতিপালক! আমাদের পূর্ববর্তিগণের উপর যেমন গুরুদায়িত্ব অর্পণ করেছিলে আমাদের উপর তেমন দায়িত্ব অর্পণ করো না। হে আমাদের প্রতিপালক! এমন ভার আমাদের উপর অর্পণ করো না, যা বহন করার শক্তি আমাদের নেই। তুমি আমাদেরকে ক্ষমা কর, আমাদের পাপ মোচন কর এবং আমাদের প্রতি দয়া কর। তুমি আমাদের অভিভাবক। অতএব সত্য প্রত্যাখ্যানকারী (কাফের) সম্প্রদায়ের বিরুদ্ধে আমাদেরকে (সাহায্য ও) জয়যুক্ত কর।

On no soul doth Allah Place a burden greater than it can bear. It gets every good that it earns, and it suffers every ill that it earns. (Pray:) "Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden Like that which Thou didst lay on those before us; Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us. Thou art our Protector; Help us against those who stand against faith."
