STRIKE THE BALANCE!
"They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's." Matthew 22:21.
There are three institutions mentioned in this verse:
1. Political Institution - The Caesar's.
2. Religious Institution - The Pharisees.
3. Institution Of Grace - The Lord Jesus.
These are the major institutions controlling our world. They are the determinants of the decisions that matters, be it in the physical or in the spirit realm. Everything of this world functions in compliance with these institutions. In order word, they are established to control our world.
The control has always been the bone of contention between these institutions. One is not ready to bow to the others. And it takes a special understanding to function in one, without violating the others.....
The same battle confronted Jesus, and I saw Him defending the interest of the political Institution. Jesus didn't live for Caesar, but he stood to defend the political interest without violating the religious establishment.....
Beloved, truly you are in the institution of Grace, but you have responsibility to both religious and political Institutions. Being a child of God must not stop you from performing your civic responsibilities. As you are defending your faith in Christ, so also you must defend the interest of any established government. Jesus said, as you are responsible spiritually, so also you must be responsible in terms of political Institution. This is a balance you must strike no matter what as a child of God.
