King's Badge Presentation 2026 πŸ…

On behalf of the Portadown & District Battalion, Boys' Brigade, we would like to offer our sincere thanks to all who contributed towards making such a special and memorable occasion last night at our King's Badge Presentation 🌟

Firstly, may we express our heartfelt appreciation to Mr Gordon Lyons MLA, Minister for Communities, not only for presenting the King’s Badge Certificates to our Kingsmen, but also for so kindly hosting us in such magnificent surroundings. We are very grateful for your support and generosity.

Our thanks also go to Mr Jonathan Buckley MLA for his thoughtful and inspiring reflection, which has added greatly to the significance of the night's proceedings.

We would also like to acknowledge Mr Peter Mullan, our Battalion King’s Badge Advisor, for his dedication and guidance to the young men who have worked so hard to achieve this most prestigious award.

The evening was, of course, a celebration of achievement, and we extend our warmest congratulations to all of the recipients of the King’s Badge. Your commitment, perseverance and service are a credit to yourselves, your companies, your families, and to the Boys’ Brigade as a whole.

Finally, thank you to the officers who joined us, and to everyone who has worked behind the scenes to ensure the smooth running of this event.

Thank you all for your presence and support, and may God continue to bless the work of the Boys' Brigade βš“οΈ

Rising to the occasion.. πŸ‘¨πŸ»β€πŸ³

As part of their badgework this year, our Anchor Boy Sections have been busy learning about the music, food, culture and language of the Ulster Scots heritage through a workbook filled with lots of fun activities πŸŽ–πŸ’‚πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

A favourite part of the programme in particular seems to have been making traditional soda farls, as some members of Milltown Anchor Boys' enjoyed getting to sample their baking skills, great job boys πŸ˜‹
