Gospel Goal From this came the idea to display messages on advertising boardings around football grounds in Northern Ireland and to distribute Gospel tracts at matches.

Through passionate outreach, authentic relationships, and unwavering faith, we aim to inspire players, supporters, and officials to experience the victory found in the Gospel and to live out its hope and purpose in every aspect of life. Gospel Goal was established in 2015 in Northern Ireland by a group of individuals who "Trust in the Lord" (Proverbs 3:5) and want to share the Gospel with local fo

otball supporters. Gospel Goal has grown in strength and we hope that in the months that lie ahead that we will continue to spread the message. "But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

ON THIS DAY – 10 JUNE 1953

The East German Communist government announced that its attack on the churches was over.

For months, officials had tried to force young people to abandon the Lutheran Junge Gemeinde (Young People's Groups) and embrace the ideology of the state. Yet hundreds of young believers stood firm, refusing to deny their faith in Christ.

Their courage reminds us that governments may oppose the Gospel, but they cannot silence the truth of God's Word.

"We ought to obey God rather than men." Acts 5:29

The Apostle Paul also encouraged believers:

"Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong." 1 Corinthians 16:13

Today, many Christians around the world still face pressure to compromise Biblical truth. May we have the same steadfast spirit as those young East German believers, standing for Christ whether the crowd applauds or opposes.

At Gospel Goal we pray that, just as a footballer stands firm to defend the goal, God's people will stand firm in defending the faith once delivered unto the saints, never ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

"Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord." 2 Timothy 1:8

Today, as Portugal marks its national day, we give thanks for a land rich in history, culture, and people made in the image of God.

The Bible reminds us:

"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority..." 1 Timothy 2:1-2

🙏 We pray for the leaders of Portugal, that they would govern with wisdom, justice, and humility.

🙏 We pray for churches and faithful believers, that they would stand firmly upon the authority of God's Word and boldly proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

🙏 We pray that many eyes would be opened to the glorious truth of salvation by grace through faith in Christ alone, rejecting every false gospel and every tradition that obscures the finished work of the cross.

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:32

May the Lord raise up faithful witnesses throughout Portugal, that many would repent and believe the Gospel.

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13

⚽ THE BATTLE IS REAL ⚽

Every football match has two teams battling for victory, but there is a far greater conflict taking place every day. The Bible reminds us that we are in a spiritual war.

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Ephesians 6:12

Evil is real. It appears in false religion that denies the saving work of Christ. It is found in false teachers who preach themselves instead of the Gospel. It is seen in a social media culture where pride, self-promotion, and the pursuit of applause can become idols. It destroys lives through drugs, alcohol abuse, gambling, po*******hy, violence, greed, and every temptation that seeks to pull people away from God.

Satan's greatest desire is to blind people to the truth of the Gospel.

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour." 1 Peter 5:8

The answer is not fear but faith. God has provided armour for His people:

"Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." Ephesians 6:11

At Gospel Goal we believe that the greatest victory was won at Calvary, where the Lord Jesus Christ defeated sin and death for all who trust in Him.

"Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us." Romans 8:37

Don't be distracted by the noise of the world or the applause of the crowd. Stand upon God's Word, test every message by the Scriptures, flee from sin, and keep your eyes fixed upon Christ.

The battle is real. But so is the victory that is found in Jesus Christ alone.

Father’s Day is a day of joy and thanksgiving for many, but for others it can be a day of sadness as they remember a much-loved Dad who is no longer with them.

This Father’s Day, Gospel Goal is giving supporters the opportunity to remember their Dad, Grandfather, or Father figure through our Gospel Goal Ibrox Brick Project.

A memorial brick will be placed at Ibrox as a lasting tribute, and names can be included in a special Father’s Day remembrance post.
