Our Parish Prayer meeting returns after a short summer break, and we’d encourage folk to join with us as we commit ourselves to the work of the Lord in this new season. Meeting in the Quiet Room at 7.30pm

Also tonight, we are hosting an ‘in-person’ diocesan safeguarding training. With the new updates to the Church of Ireland Safeguarding policy we would encourage all those who work with children and young people to access one of these training nights. Meeting in the Green Room from 7.15pm.

We had a great day at our Back to Church Sunday. Thank you to everyone who was a part of the day, and all those who came along. Special thanks to all those who set up for, prepared and served the lunch after the service. A wonderful reminder of the encouragement we received in church; that God gives us gifts and calls all of us to serve him in his church.

During our service we gave everyone an opportunity to reflect upon how the Lord may be calling us to use our gifts in his church. We are grateful to the many folk who use their gifts so faithfully in the life of our church. If you’d like to have a conversation about how the Lord might be calling you to serve, please have a chat with Stuart.

A Service of Family Worship for Back to Church Sunday on the 14th S...

We are so looking forward to our Back to Church Sunday, which kicks off a busy season in the life of our church. We’d love you to join with us at any of our services this Sunday (9am and 10.30am in Seagoe, and 6pm in St. Patrick’s), as well as for our community lunch after the 10.30am service.

As we gather we’d also encourage you to invite others and share with them about all the events taking place over this month, and the various organisations starting back after the summer break.

We’re excited and expectant for all that the Lord will do in our parish over this autumn. Come join us and be a part of it!

We are now just under a week away from the beginning of our Fellowship Groups, starting on Wednesday 9th September. This term there will be two programmes running together-Alpha and the Roman’s course.

Alpha is a fantastic course that has been run in many churches around the world, and in our own parish. It offers an opportunity to explore the Christian faith in an open and friendly manner. Whether you’re new to the faith, a Christian for many years, or simply asking questions, Alpha provides a space to learn and journey alongside others.

The Roman’s course is a resource developed by the Bible Society (who created the Bible Course that our fellowship group explored earlier this year). The course will guide participants through the book of Romans and will help unlock the whole story of Scripture and make sense of life.

We’d encourage as many people as possible to come along on 9th September to find out more, invite others and avail of these wonderful opportunities to develop your discipleship and grow in faith.

The Diocesan Bible week this year will take place in Holy Trinity Banbridge from the 1st to 4th September, at 7.45pm each night. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet with people from throughout the diocese and receive encouraging Bible teaching. The speaker this year is Dr. Tim Robinson, who is Assistant Professor of Pastoral Ministries at Dallas Theological Seminary. Please plan to attend and please invite others.

We’re really looking forward to our Back to Church Sunday on the 6th September, and all the different activities and organisations starting back. As part of our kick off to the Back to Church season, we are having a community lunch after our service on the 6th. We’d encourage as many as possible to join with us for fellowship as we begin this new season.
