Just over a week since I laid down my ministry of just over 20years in Seagoe, and Alison left her post as Musical Director of 16years. It was a very moving service for our family and us as we have so many memories of our time in partnership in the Gospel with the people of Seagoe.
We were humbled by the very well-filled church and by the warmth of those present towards us, some who had come to join us from various parts of our past lives and ministry.
Rev. Stuart Moles (Associate Minister) led the service so well, and it was wonderful to have our three daughters involved: Hannah and Sarah read the scriptures, and Ruth sang a solo verse of a hymn.
We have been overwhelmed by the many messages and cards we have received. In addition, we have been so touched by people's generosity in giving us so many generous and much-appreciated gifts. Thank you all.
We are now in the phase of packing up and having work done to our retirement home in Portstewart, hopefully it will all come together within our timescale!!!
In praying with thanksgiving for the privilege of ministry in Seagoe, we also pray that God will graciously draw the Parish together in preparation for its next phase of ministry. We pray for and long to see the Parish move forward into greater blessing for those already involved and the inclusion of many more people.
To God be the glory for all He has done, and for all He will do.
