Our lovely Australian visitors today. Eileen, originally from Porthcawl, who emigrated as a teenager with her parents as 'Ten Pound Poms', told the story of how, pre-Australia, on a bus from Porthcawl, she spotted by chance a sign for 'Margam Abbey' and popped in with her brother, for the first time. On every visit to Wales over the years, she has found herself drawn back to the Abbey; finding strength in its spirituality. Welcoming visitors and hearing their stories and connections to the Abbey, makes volunteering so rewarding. Wonderful! It was lovely to see Christoph Auckland at Mass yesterday. Our good friend Christoph is to be ordained on the 27th of June, when he will become a Curate in The Glamorgan Heritage Coast Ministry Area. As an Abbey community, we send Christoph and his family (Sarah, Arthur and Bertie) every blessing and best wishes for his future ministry.
