Marriage and Family Life East Anglia Assisting married couples in living out their vocation in the world, and working with schools and parishes to help strengthen and support family life.

Under Bishop Alan Hopes, the diocesan Marriage and Family Life Commission works to develop and strengthen programmes and initiatives in support of marriage and family. This includes the marriage preparation programme, both proximate (for engaged couples) and remote (programmes in schools) to build a strong foundation for marriage. The commission is involved with catechetical days to help spread th

e message of the gospel, especially as it relates to marriage and family. We also promote a wide range of resources for supporting couples and families - marriage counselling, marriage enrichment, post-abortive counselling, internet addiction and so on, all in full accord with the teachings of the Catholic Church. " Let the pleasure of the Lord our God be on us: O Lord, give strength to the work of our hands." (Ps 90:17)
