The Bereavement Journey® coming to Lytchett Matravers in October
Losing someone you love is one of life's hardest experiences. Grief affects not only our emotions but also our physical health, relationships, and everyday life. You don't have to face it alone.
The Bereavement Journey® is a gentle, supportive 7-week course for anyone who has been bereaved. Through short films, guided discussion, and a welcoming group, you'll have the opportunity to explore your grief alongside others who understand what you're going through.
The course is open to all adults, whatever your faith or beliefs. There is no expectation that you attend church, and the final session, which explores faith and bereavement from a Christian perspective, is entirely optional.
Topics include:
• Understanding grief and loss
• Why grief can be so painful
• Anger and guilt
• Coping with other people's reactions
• Delayed or suppressed grief
• Adjusting to life after loss
• Moving forward in a healthy way
The course is particularly helpful a few weeks after a bereavement (ideally after the funeral).
