Saturday 10th May 2.30 Boscombe Pier. Walk the Labyrinth.
We will be flying our Beach of Dreams pendant, thinking of the coast line and what we can do to protect the environment.

Making a labyrinth on the beach. In preparation for a Beach of Dreams event in the summer. We learnt a lot! Like the sea does not go out very far at Boscombe.

Simple. Radical. Spiritual.

A climate vigil as part of Quaker Week (albeit a few days after!)

On Tuesday 3rd October, Poole Friends will be standing in solidarity with Quaker Support for Climate Action by holding a vigil at Poole Meeting House from 5.30-7pm.

The vigil will be held on the front lawn (or inside if wet) and will include thirty minutes of silent reflection at from 6-6.30pm as witness to our commitment to sustainability and our opposition to drilling in the North Sea. Rishi Sunak has already approved over a hundred licence applications for oil and gas extraction which goes against the UK’s commitment to reduce carbon and increase investment in sustainable energy. Extraction methods destroy our underwater landscape and are devastating to sea life.

Tea, hot chocolate and cake will be available.

Disabled parking spaces can be found at the rear of the MH. Further on road parking is available locally. The back garden can accommodate bicycles. The MH can reached by bus and is a 10 minute walk from the train station.

As we gathered for face to face meeting this morning we thought of the people who were not with up through illness. There were two pieces of ministry and we upheld the peoples of the Ukraine and Russian.

Face to face meetings have restarted. If you would like to attend please IM us and we will let you know the arrangements.
