🌿✨ Have you heard about The Well? ✨🌿
Did you know that once a month we gather for an afternoon service called The Well? 💧❤️
Held at St Gabriel’s, The Well is a relaxed, informal style of church — a space to come as you are, explore faith, ask questions, connect with others and simply take some time to pause and reflect. 🙏😊
Yesterday, we explored the story of Joseph — yes, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat! 🌈🎶
We reflected on how Joseph’s story reminds us that God is present not only in the triumphant moments, but also in the painful, confusing and tangled seasons of life — those times when we’re not quite sure what’s happening or where the journey is taking us.
This led us to the remarkable story of Corrie ten Boom, a Dutch Christian who, alongside her family, bravely hid hundreds of Jewish people during the Second World War.
Reflecting on her own life, Corrie said:
💭 “Although the threads of my life have often seemed knotted, I know, by faith, on the other side of the embroidery, there is a crown.” 👑🧵
Inspired by this, we got creative! 🎨🧵 We embroidered hearts with our initials — a simple, visual reminder that even when life feels tangled, God is still weaving our story. ❤️
We also made paper-chain prayers for people and situations close to our hearts, both locally and around the world. 🌍🙏
It was a lovely afternoon of faith, creativity, conversation and community. 💕✨
