To everyone who came along to our Events Week last week — thank you. The questions, the conversations and dancing… we loved it all.
If you found yourself still thinking about something that was said, still turning over a question in your mind, or just wanting to explore a bit more — this next series is for you.
We’re starting a new series: The Life, Death and Resurrection — taking time to properly look at who Jesus is, why His death matters, and what the resurrection really means.
Lots of discussions started last week. Let’s keep them going. The Hub, 7PM (See dates in post)🙌

Join us for Dessert & Dialogue…
An evening of cheesecake (you’ll get to make your own 👀) and a big question up for discussion:
“Does the universe have a purpose?”
It’s a relaxed space to explore life’s biggest questions, hear a short talk, and chat it through.

Scripture of the week…

As our outreach week is near, it is especially important that we have trust in the Holy Spirit working within us. A spirit that brings love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control(Galatians 5:22-23). We can have confidence in God that He will fill us with joy and peace in this time. So let’s trust in Gods Will this week and fix our eyes upon Him😊

Scripture of the week…

Previously in this chapter Paul speaks about gifts and how without love, it is all in vain(1 Corinthians 13:1). It also talks about how these gifts such as prophecies, speaking in tongues and being knowledgable of the word will all be ‘ceased’ when Jesus comes as ‘when completeness comes, what is in part disappears’(13:10). He then states the three main virtues that are the centre of Christianity, faith(trust and belief in God), hope(confident and expectant in Gods promises) and love(selfless, sacrificial and unconditional love of God). But love is emphasised as the greatest virtue as it is who God is and how we become most like Jesus in all situations. So let’s remind ourselves to be full of love to others this week. Rather than putting our energy into being angry, jealous or negative to others or even ourselves, lets be a vessel of love for God loves us.

Scripture of the week…
Just as honey is sweet (also in proverbs 16:24) to our taste how much more sweet is heavenly wisdom to our souls! The ‘If’ emphasises an effort to find such wisdom. Not just knowledge, but a deep spiritual understanding of Gods way. By finding this, we have the confidence and expectation rooted in faith that we are securely in a covenant with God. Honey is pleasant, it must be sought and it was a prize in ancient Israel. So how do we sought this wisdom? By being intentional with Gods word. Try meditating on verses, filtering decisions by Gods word, looking to Christ and welcome Gods guidance. But never forget to rest in the promise of a secure future with Him.
