It was lovely to 'officially' welcome Rev. Andrew Sterling as the new minister for Ponteland, Milbourne and Scots Gap Methodist Churches yesterday afternoon. We wish both Andrew and his family every blessing as they begin a new chapter with us here in our community. It was the last day of our holiday club today, but the fun and enthusiasm certainly hadn't waned! A big thank you to Jill Taylor who led the dance workshop today, to Will Hoy who led all the fun with the singing puppets yesterday, Chris Hudson who ran the percussion master class on Wednesday, and Les Dodd who organised the survival skills game on Tuesday. This week could not have happened without the time and talents of all these wonderful people as well as many others too - A big thank you to you all! Oh, and last but by no means least - Our wonderful Children and Families worker Lena Stephenson who was the driving force behind the club this year - We couldn't have done it without you! 😀

Our third day of the holiday club today, crafting some trees, dancing some puppets, outdoor games, and also considering the story of Zacchaeus the (very short!) tax collector who climbed a sycamore tree to catch a glimpse of Jesus, and ended up hosting him at his home for tea where his life was completely changed. We've had great fun today - last day tomorrow, but newcomers are still very welcome to join us! Registration starts at 10am.

Our second holiday club day (Wednesday) - Lots of fun again today, thinking about what it means to be welcoming and learning about how Jesus welcomed children and always had time for them. Amazing percussion workshop, more crafts, and some hot sunny relay races in the garden too! Why not join us for Day 3 - You'd be very welcome!
