St Giles is delighted to welcome West Yorkshire Police Band for a Concert TONIGHT!!!. Tickets are now on sale - https://st-giles-church-pontefract.sumupstore.com/ on on the door this evening, its sure to be a wonderful night of music and profits from the concert will be used to support the Walsingham Youth Pilgrimage.

A little background to what we are supporting: Over the last few years local parishes have worked together to take young people to the national Walsingham Youth Pilgrimage. We've been blessed to take increasing numbers with us each year. The pilgrimage will enables the young people to engage with the faith in a different context and with over 400 young people their own age.

We have seen significant implications of how attendance at the pilgrimage has helped with our youngster's faith journey. We would like this to continue by removing any barriers that may prevent them from accessing this experience. The pilgrimage attracts both churched and non-churched young people and as a result we have seen growth in attendance at our youth groups, choirs and twice yearly youth retreats.

Unfortunately due to the rise in living costs, the cost of the pilgrimage has gone up significantly over the last couple of year generous support from other can help us to overcome this challenge.

Join us tonight at 7.30 p.m. at St Stephen’s for a truly special occasion as we celebrate 100 years of our beloved Bell Tower! We are honoured to welcome Bishop Malcolm, the Bishop of Wakefield, who will lead this memorable service.

Sometime after 8.00 p.m., the bells will ring out across East Hardwick, marking a century of history and inviting us all to pause and offer prayers for our community. Whether you join us in church or listen for the bells from home, everyone is invited to be part of this moment of reflection and unity.

Let’s come together to celebrate, pray, and make history! All are welcome.
