The traditional funeral is moving away somewhat but there’s nothing quite more sombre than hearing the clipity clap sound of their hooves and the sight of this beautiful traditional carriage 🖤🖤🖤

During our visit to Turkey we have been staying close to one of the old seven wonders of the world- The Temple Of Artemis. This is situated close to Ephesus, which we visited last year. Nothing much stands of the temple now but would have looked grand back in the day. Over the years I’ve loved connecting with the goddesses from
Greek and Roman mythology. Especially when staying close by or visiting their temples or ruins dedicated to them.
Artemis- the goddess of wild animals, the hunt, vegetation and of chastity and childbirth.
She was associated by the Romans with Diana.
Artemis was the daughter of Zeus and Leto and the twin sister of Apollo.
