We welcomed nearly 150 people at the Lighthouse Christian Fellowship today, as we celebrated the public baptism of four ladies, three of them from the same family representing three generations. We are so grateful for what God is doing and are excited for what is to come.

Tomorrow we will be celebrating the resurrection of the only Saviour for all mankind. The cross might have looked like defeat to many watching on, whilst in fact it was the set up for the resurrection. We are told "God raised Him from the dead, freeing Him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on Him" Acts 2:24. Why was it impossible for 'death to keep its hold on Jesus'? The word 'agony' is the same word that we use when describing the pain of childbirth. So, the picture is that death is in labour and is unable to holdback its child, The Messiah. And because of this, God made Jesus both Lord and Christ. As Lord, Jesus is to be identified with Yahweh, the personal name for God used in the Old Testament. Jesus is also to be identified as the Messiah (Christ), the Anointed One who would deliver God’s people by leading them out of bo***ge. No wonder death could not keep its hold on Jesus! Come and join us and worship Him who has overcome the grave that all those who trust in Him will be saved. We meet at 9:30am for prayer, with the service starting at 10:30am. All are welcome.

Come and join us this Wednesday 18th March at 7pm for a night with the ladies from Hope House. Hope House is one of the most successful female residential programmes in the UK. Since Hope House opened up in April 1996 hundreds of young women have been helped by this centre based in South Wales and the staff has seen many families restored. We will hear real life stories of hopelessness and addiction, and the transforming power of Jesus to meet people where they are at. All are welcome to join us.

We’re grateful to share some good news from Steve Tucker, a pastor serving the community in Pontarddulais:

“What a beautiful meeting we had today. Gail has accepted Jesus as her Saviour and we had the privilege of praying for her before and during the service.

The Lord began to work in Gail’s heart at the Christmas eve carol service, and has made Himself known in a real and personal way. Gail just can’t contain the joy that she feels and is so hungry to learn more of Jesus. What a privilege we have in helping and encouraging our Sister in The Faith.

Gail is the daughter of Gillian who has also come into a living faith in Jesus since attending our friendship coffee morning and being a regular member of our fellowship. We are now looking at a mother and daughter baptism in April. We are so grateful to God for such miracles.”

Praise God with us family 🙏🙌

Our Friendship Coffee morning in the Mechanics Institute is cancelled due the weather conditions. We really don't want folk to make any unnecessary journeys at this time. Stay safe and we look forward to seeing you all on the 13th.

Just want to thank everyone for turning up to our first carols by candlelight service at LCF. There were so many new faces from the community and with so many children present as well. We all wish you a very merry Christmas and God's richest blessing for 2026.
