Mission Plan

Things are moving on with the Mission Plan, and two intimations from Presbytery were read out in church on Easter morning. In summary:
There will be a congregational meeting after church on Sunday 19 April for the purpose of voting for or against a Basis of Union. You need to be present if you want to vote, and only communicant members and adherents of the congregation are entitled to vote.

The previous week, on Sunday 12 April, we will have a visit from Rev David Cameron, appointed as facilitator to the Lower Braes cluster of churches. The purpose of his visit is to answer questions from members of the congregation regarding the process and the possible outcomes of the congregational vote.

Job Advert for Hall Assistant

Polmont Old Parish Church are looking to employ a Hall Assistant. This would be on a part-time basis of an average of 4 hours per week, working on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. The rate of pay will be £12.60 per hour.
The main duties of this role will be :-
To liaise with the Hall Administrator

To ensure that the hall is set-up in accordance with the needs of the organisations and other hall users and clear away afterwards ensuring the hall is left clean and tidy.

To ensure the hall is securely locked and bolted and that no fire or safety hazards exist.

To maintain the external parts (pathways) of the hall in a tidy, reasonable and safe condition.

Great to see so many members (past and present) yesterday to celebrate our closing service of our 125th session. Thanks to all those who attended, to those who baked, made sandwiches, brought in memorabilia, helped to serve and clear up. It was a fantastic atmosphere back at the hall listening to everyone catching up and reminiscing. Well done to the Colour Party and congratulations again to our new King's Men!

To mark our 125th anniversary we would like to invite you to our closing service at Polmont Old Parish Church at 11am on Sunday 25th May, after the service there will be refreshments and a time for fellowship and reminiscing back at the church hall.
