Plympton St Maurice Church News
Sunday 17th May

Please note that the APCM will be held in the Church Hall at approximately 12.30pm on Sunday 17th May after the service. If you have any queries please speak to Val or Ken (Churchwardens).

St Maurice Stewardship 2026 - thank you so much to everyone who is part of our stewardship scheme at St Maurice. This gives us a regular income and contributes to our financial commitments. Even with everyone’s generosity we are still unable to pay our Common Share in full for St Maurice at this time and we need to continue to look at how we can move towards financial stability.
Please contact Vicky Gibbons (01752 346630) if this is something you would consider joining. I also have the envelopes and forms for people to complete if you are willing to continue to be part of Stewardship.

Lamb Feast 20th June 2026 - once again
St Maurice Church is hosting the tea tent on Castle Green at the Lamb Feast. We need people to set up and clear down, serve the refreshments, bake cakes, clear tables etc. We have a rota
for the day so even if you can just give one hour that would be really helpful. We appreciate all offers of help, big or small. Please contact Vicky Gibbons (01752 346630) if you are able to be part of this wonderful opportunity for outreach.

Weekly Meditation - Thursday evenings between 7 and 7.30pm in the Church Hall lounge. All are welcome to come along and make some space for silence in our week. For more information please speak to Rev Jan Collis.

We are looking for new members to go on to the PCC. Not many meetings during the year but necessary when important decisions have to be made. If you would like to know more please speak to Val or Ken. (Also as I have been
taking the minutes for nearly 40 years it’s perhaps time for someone else to
take over!).

Barbara (choir) would be delighted to receive any old candle ends to donate
to a charity which supports Ukraine.

Knit and Natter every Thursday 1.00pm - 3.00pm in St Maurice Church Hall.
All are welcome.

The next Rosary Group meeting is on Thursday 21st May at 6.15pm in Church.
For further details and dates please speak to Delphine.

For the Lamb Feast weekend - Saturday 20th June, refreshments on Castle Green; on Sunday 21st there will be refreshments in the Church Hall from 2pm until 4pm whilst the Church is open to visitors. Handbags, shoulder bags, purses and man bags, new or good condition, will be gratefully accepted. Donations can be handed in to the Church on Friday or Sunday mornings, or
can be collected by prior arrangement with Carol Hatcher or Linda Lewis. Many thanks.
