Plympton St Maurice Church News
Sunday 6th September

Please note that the funeral of Brenda Spike (long standing much loved choir member) will take place in St Maurice Church on Friday 25th September. Many of us will remember Brenda's lovely homemade cakes which she sold in the hall after the service on Sundays and the regular coffee mornings held in the Church Hall. She always gave any money made to the Church.
She had a great love and faith. We will miss her greatly.

St Maurice Minors will start again on Friday 11th September at 10.00am - 11.30am in the Church Hall. Looking forward to seeing the children and parent(s) plus any newcomers. For any more details please speak to Ken.

The Meditation Group is now on summer leave until Thursday 15th October.

Please note that there will be a Mothers Union Cluster Meeting on Thursday 10th September at 2.00pm in St Mary's Church Hall which members may wish to attend instead of the usual monthly meeting. Further details from Sue Hawes 345054.

Christmas Tree Festival Planning Meeting 🎄🎄

A planning meeting for the Christmas Tree Festival will be held in Plympton St Maurice Church Hall on Thursday 10 September at 6.00pm. Please come along if you would like to help with the Festival. Anyone from St Mary’s who would like to take part is also very welcome.

The Festival is planned for Friday 4 – Sunday 6 December. This is one of our main fundraising events. Sue Hawes is happy to organise it but will need plenty of help, so please speak to her with your ideas and offers of support.

Mothers Union - just to remind you that we do not meet in August. Next meeting will be on Tuesday 8th September

Help is really needed for making the teas and coffees after the Sunday services. If you feel that you could put your name on the rota please speak to Lynn or Judith.

Brenda Spike - it is with great sadness that we learned of the death of Brenda Spike on Friday 21st August. Details of her funeral to be advised.
