The Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church traces its origins to St. Thomas the Apostle, who have brought Christianity to India in AD 52. Over the centuries, the church has expanded globally, establishing dioceses and congregations to serve its faithful worldwide. Recognizing the need for an Indian Orthodox congregation in Plymouth, the Diocese of UK, Europe & Africa established St. The first Holy Eucharist was celebrated on January 4, 2025, marking the official beginning of regular worship services for the Orthodox faithful in the region. The congregation follows the liturgical traditions and sacraments of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, conducted in Malayalam and English. Worship services include:
• Holy Eucharist (Qurbana): Celebrated on the first and third Saturday of every month at 10:00 AM.
