It's with great sadness that we share our Plymouth battalion secretary and friend Trevor Heale has passed away.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Trevor's family and friends at this time.

From everyone at SEVEN ❤️

It is with heartbreaking sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear friend, brother in Christ and former Captain of the 5th Plymouth - Trevor Heale.

Trevor started his Boys' Brigade journey in the Lifeboys, working his way up through the sections and ranks to eventually become Captain. He ran an active company programme over the years, as well as participating in Battalion, District and National events.

Following the company restarting in 2011, Trevor was an avid supporter and mentor to us, especially in the early years. His friendship and guidance to the team was energetic and immeasurable as we navigated our new journey together.

In later years, Trevor also served as Plymouth Battalion Secretary, Devon Battalion Secretary and a West of England District Representative. He was passionate about supporting events in the wider BB community and building those BB friendships. He firmly believed in the promotion of the Boys' Brigade and the furthering of Christ's Kingdom to all young people.

There are far too many memories for us to mention but his visits to camp for his annual crumble pudding will always be a highlight. His enthusiasm and ability to bring everyone together with plenty of laughter and mischief will be sorely missed.

Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with Yvonne, Gilly and Alex, and the rest of the family at this incredibly sad time. We also remember his friends at Mount Gould Methodist Church and wider BB family.

Rest in peace my dear friend, your work here is done.

Charlotte Badock,
Captain 5th Plymouth.

This week in Anchors, as tradition before May half-term, we did a movie night complete with under the sea snacks (as well as popcorn)! What a great way to finish off our 'Under the Sea' theme! 🐟

There will be no sessions for the next two weeks. We will recommence on Friday 5th June and if the weather is nice, we will look to start our park sessions! ☀️ See you then! 😊

What a fantastic sleepover we have had!!

Post breakfast, everyone had to wash up their dishes ready for the day! We had team games/challenges, a quiz, lunch in the sun, water challenge, sponge the captain (which turned into a water fight 🤦) and gladiator games!

We've had great fun! Enjoy the rest of your weekend Juniors 😊

Good morning! We all survived the night and getting fueled for the day!! Parents, see you at 3pm!!

This week in Anchors we started our 'Under the Sea' theme.

We started off by creating our own fish 🐠 and then discussed as a group the dangers fish face in the ocean such as plastics. We talked about different types of plastics and what we can do at home such as Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

We also did a quiz 'What sea creature makes this noise?' where anchors ran to different areas of the room to correctly guess the answers! 🦦

Then we finished off with two different games. First up was Octopus Tag 🐙 and then finding the safe path for a sea turtle in a minesweeper style game.

See you next week Anchors! 😊⚓️

Happy new year!
Just a reminder, we return to our sessions tomorrow. We can't wait to see everyone back!
